90% vs 400%

How are your investments doing these days?  Geothermal heat pumps are one remarkable technology in that for every kilowatt of electricity used, the equivalent of about 4+ kilowatts of heat is produced. In other words, for every $1.00 dollar put in, $4.00+ comes out. Not a bad deal, better than Vegas!  In my system, which is the most efficient system on the market today, it is rated at 4.7 COP (Coefficient of Performance).  This is the rating standard by which these numbers come from.  Your oil and gas HVAC systems are less than 1, they typically are in the 80-90% range.  When judged against the system I installed which is a Climate Master Tranquility heat pump, my rating is a 4.7.
